Missing Generation..9th (1750-1800)
My family tree Bichards’ in Guernsey has a 9th generation missing on your FamilySearch web site. WHY?
Charles Bichard born 1753 married to Rachel Nant born1754.
It jumps from Charles Bichard 1779/1838..Jeanne Thoumine 1775/1874 to..
Charles Bichard/1725 to Martha L’Etournel 1729
Where has my 9th generation gone on your records as other sites and local records show this missing item ?

Hello RogerBichard
Welcome to the FamilySearch community, and thank you for your question regarding your missing ancestors.
We will need several PID's in order to look at your issue.

What are PID’s as I am new to to this sort of research and where can I find them?

A PID is a unique combination of numbers and/or letters given to each profile in the FSFT. You can find it near the top of the profile page.

You could go to recents (found on top scroll bar on persons page. Recents stores about 50 names that you have used. Click on the name that you are missing or one that will lead to that ancestor. Go to their latest changes and find out what happened on how your ancestor disappeared. You have the ability to restore information. Congratulations on how well you have done so far as you said you are new to research. Hop this is helpful.

Hello Roger,
About the missing generation. We searched using the names of the individuals and their spouses. We found Charles Bichard, 1779, M3QQ-S9H, is the son of Charles Bichard 1750, K4pY-YSB . Charles Bichard, 1725, KZWP-C7T has two sons named Charles., one, M3QQ-91P, is listed as born in 1753. Could this the connection you need?
We wonder if you only need to add the father/son relationship.
Some good research may be needed.
