There is a resource listed in the catalog under Jackson County, Missouri, when it should be in Jackson County, Kansas. Here is the listing:

Standard atlas of Jackson County, Kansas, including a plat book of the villages, cities and townships of the county Map of the state, United States and world. Patrons directory, reference business directory and departments devoted to general information. Analysis of the system of U. S. land surveys, digest of the system of civil government, etc. etcStatement of Responsibility:

compiled and published by Geo. A. Ogle & Co.

I am moving this question to the "Search" category, which is the category for questions about Historical Records.

I believe this is the catalog entry in question; it is indeed listed under Missouri and not listed under Kansas.

(I can't help with getting it corrected, but I figure a link can't hurt.)

Hi @Julie Miguel. Could you provide the steps you took to get to the a listing of the book titled, Standard atlas of Jackson County, Kansas showing it as being listed under Missouri instead of Kansas? We have not been able to find that information in the FamilySearch catalog.

We went to Search, then catalog, then typed the name of the title in a Title search. The result that generated says clearly Jackson County, Kansas.

    Correct location..JPG

When you click the title to go to the catalog page, the information again verifies that the atlas is for Jackson County, Kansas, but we do see in the Locality Subjects entry where United States, Missouri, Jackson-Maps is listed. Is this your concern?

If it is, there is currently nothing that can be done to change this information. FamilySearch engineers are transitioning the Catalog to new hardware and software. During the transition, the catalog is locked. We are not able to make corrections at this time...

Thank you for sharing your concern. We look forward to the corrections and updates that are being made which we hope will resolve this type of error.
