Image Name107843180_00554 Batch IDM3WJ-RQP

This image shows a message written at the top of the form which states: "These parents names belong to couples on page following". Unable to see the next image, however guest stated that she could see both images and the parents names listed on the following image showed that they were the parents for the page previous - in other words, the parents for image 107843180_0554 really belong to the next image and the parents listed on the next image belong on image 107843180_00554. According to the guest there is no message on the second image stating that the parents names are not listed correctly. Based on General Indexing Guidelines which state that we can use the information from the next image when it spans two images, Guest was directed to enter the names for the parents listed in the second image as the parents for the bride/groom on the first image, but was concerned that the second image in another batch would not be entered correctly. Can we somehow get this corrected on that second batch?

When batches have problems like this, it is reported and reviewed before the batch is published.

Our internal report about this question: US, Virginia - Marriage Records, 1853-1935, Image notes parents names mixed up on two images.

The note indicates the enumerator made an error and mixed up the parent names. The next image which has the correct parent names will be indexed with the current one. The indexer who gets that batch with the parent names will have to determine to mark the image NED.

Unfortunately there is no way to know who will get the batch with that image in it. There is also no way to leave a message on a particular batch.

That note means that the enumerator mixed up the parents name. Please disregard what we said and please know that if the next image is messed up maybe it will have a note on it too.

We indexers cannot make corrections on registrar mistakes that happened under that period of time.

But we can enquire for more directions in this chat.

Things like this happen but the researcher will also see the note on the image.

I realize that another indexer/reviewer would not be able to do anything, but hoping a manager or someone in charge of the project could step in somehow.
