1840 U.S. Census records for Ruscombmanor Township, Berks, PA
1840 U.S. Census records for Ruscombmanor Township, Berks, PA :
You can get to these images by browsing United States Census, 1840 --> Pennsylvania --> Berks --> Ruscombmanor Township, but then many, if not most, of these records come up with Event Place = "United States", Event Place (Original) = "ruscombmanes" in their record pages, and searching in the 1840 Census for known residents of Ruscombmanor Township from 1830, the search finds them just with "1840 United States" in the "Events" column (examples: John Keller, Jacob Keller, Conrad Keller)
Might do the same check on these records...
United States Census, 1840 --> Pennsylvania --> Lebanon --> Annville Township (records come up with Event Place = "United States", Event Place (Original) = "anville")
United States Census, 1840 --> Pennsylvania --> Clearfield --> Fox Township (come up with Event Place = "United States", Event Place (Original) = "flox")
Thanks

@Daniel_Campbell Thank you for your report. We are seeing lots of issues in which an unfortunate choice of a way to get place names standardized on older collections like the 1840 Census generated a lot of errors. We will add your report to the list for the team that is working to get things fixed. Apologies up-front that this is not going to be fixed quickly because of a large backlog of problems.

Hi, was this intended for a specific person? it is that you have added some personal information to this post and can be seen by everyone. I would suggest you edit it or if it was for a specific person, then send them a private message. Just concerned for your safety online.

I'm okay with it, not to say that people shouldn't be very careful...Last time I posed a question, I was asked for this info, so I'm providing it up front to save two steps in the process.
I figure if I can't trust the people in this community, then I can't trust the person who asked for this info in the first place; if the info isn't really necessary to bring an indexing, or other problem, to the attention of FS, then it shouldn't really be requested. If it is, sharing it with one unknown individual isn't all that more secure than sharing it with many.

I'm getting to these, by the way, by doing exactly what I suggested in my original post, You can get to these images by browsing United States Census, 1840 --> Pennsylvania --> Berks --> Ruscombmanor Township, but then many, if not most, of these records come up with Event Place = "United States", Event Place (Original) = "ruscombmanes" in their record pages

I stopped when I got the following message: "You have posted 5 times within 60 seconds. A spam block is now in effect on your account. You must wait at least 120 seconds before attempting to post again."
Only have sixteen pages left, if I have to wait 2 minutes after every five I submit, I should be done by September.
