L5XM-M7R and L561-VS6

While working on these two individuals they changed from being public to read-only. I have more sourced information I would like to add to their records.

I also had this happen as I was adding sources to two individuals in my line. Thomas Williams G8M4-5W8 and Hannah Golby L9H3-NFC

I also have more sources and information to add. How can we get back to the public format?

While researching individuals they changed from public to read only. Why? There was misinformation being corrected and sourced.

Suddenly having the same problem...literally in the middle of working on a family, they are all "Read Only!"

I have had the same issue. I haven't checked all members, but many members on a family tree I'm researching and actively collaborating on have suddenly become read only, possibly all members of a certain branch past a certain date. Suffice it to say, there is still more information to add, correct, and source.

Currently, I was specifically working on:

    • LZ81-VB3

Also read-only, that I have found thus far, are:

    • L2WW-SM7
    • LZG7-XHD
    • GS5H-7NG
    • GSPY-LLY
    • GSPY-DR9
    • LKP4-27M

I'm going to stop there because it looks like, yes, my entire family tree has been locked into read only mode. Which sort of defeats the entire point of this site, so you can imagine my frustration.

I just checked other forum posts, it looks like a whole lot of people are having this issue, where every person is set to read-only mode. Possibly a bug in the website?

Same here. Starting to think it is a glitch

From the number of recent comments about similar occurrences, this certainly looks like a glitch.

For whatever it might be worth, I signed out of FamilySearch and signed back in and the designations had all disappeared (at least for now).
