This is a known problem and has been escalated to the engineers who are working to determine the exact problem and how to proceed forward.

Jaelene Starr you are correct, the problem with scan to FamilySearch is not fixed. Engineers are working on the problem.

Watch the announcements on the FHC Tech Support NA group. Believe me, it will be announced with trumpets! 😉

I really hope that, that FIX, by the Programmers/Engineers, for the relative "Printers" [ eg. "Lexmark", depending on the "Model(s)" ], works, for ALL the "Family History Centres", of the Church, ALL around the World.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, one who has worked in "Family History Centres" for a number of Years ... ]
FYI
I do not know about the MAIN "Printers" in the "Family History Centres" in "North America" ...
But ...
That Said ...
In my 'neck of the woods', the ability of the MAIN "Printers", in the "Family History Centres", to "Scan" directly to 'FamilySearch', has been unavailable for a number of Years, now.
A while back now, I was advised by the "High Counselor" in the my Stake, responsible for "Temple and Family History" Work, that he had been advised (by the Church, through channels) that the "Agreement" (and, software/firmware 'Coding'/requirements) between, the Church; and, the Printer Manufacturer, to enable such "Scanning", had "Lapsed"; and, was not being "Renewed".
Perhaps, such related, to the particular "Model", of Printer that our (local) "Family History Centres" are using; but, that "Model", is not than old of a "Model".
Although, I was lead to understand, that "Scanning" to 'FamilySearch', by the MAIN "Printers", of the "Family History Centres" in "North America", has continued up until of late.
Just curious.

'Thank You'
FYI
Despite the fact, that our (local) "Family History Centre", REOPENED in the middle half of LAST Year ...
Our (local) Church Buildings [and, of course, our (local) "Family History Centre"] have recently been "Closedown", for a short period, in a "Lockdown", of our City, in our State, in our Country, due to a recent 'outbreak' of "COVID-19", for the last few Weeks (and, maybe, even a few Weeks more).
To be honest, I cannot recall the "Model" number of our MAIN Lexmark Printer.
[ But, those "Model" numbers do not look familiar ... of course, I could be wrong ...]
I will have to check the "Model" number of our MAIN Lexmark Printer, when we emerge from "Lockdown".
In the past, we had tried everything (following ALL Guidelines/Procedures), even the "Stake, Computer Specialists"; and, we just could not, get it to "Scan" to 'FamilySearch'.
'Thank You'.

The US and Canada have scan to search on the Lexmark printers. My answer for for this region. I do not know how the program works in other parts of the world.

FYI
As far as I was aware ...
The Main "Lexmark" Printer, in many, "Family History Centres", around the World, DID work with and enable the ability to, "Scan" DIRECTLY to 'FamilySearch" (to the "Memories" of a particular individual/person).
'In my neck of the woods' that ability of the Main "Lexmark" Printer, in our "Family History Centre" to, "Scan" DIRECTLY to 'FamilySearch" (to the "Memories" of a particular individual/person), CEASED a number of years ago now.
Back then, when contacted, the advice from the Church was, that the "Agreement" (and, software/firmware 'Coding'/requirements) between, the Church; and, the Printer Manufacturer, to enable such "Scanning", had "Lapsed"; and, was not being "Renewed".
As I suggested, such may relate to the particular "Model" number of the "Lexmark" Printer.
As an aside ...
Please be aware, that I was NOT questioning your 'Answer'/'Comment'.
I was merely getting involved in the original 'Question'; as, such is a matter, that has affected us ('In my neck of the woods'), in our (local) "Family History Centre", for a number of YEARS now.
Remember: This 'Category', in "Q and A" Section, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, is "Family History Centres", in general, (ie.) all around the World.
It appeared from the 'Question' that the matter was something more recent - that is all.
Again; as, I already indicated, I will have to check the "Model" number, of the MAIN "Lexmark" Printer, in our (local)" Family History Centre", when we emerge from this enforced COVID-19 "Lockdown", at our locale ▬ that will be interesting.

I apologize if my comment gave you that impression , sometimes a few words can cause problems where a fuller answer is needed, You are correct, please accept my apology.

Please ...
NO need to apologise ...
As an aside ...
[ And, NOT, directed, at; or, to, you ... ]
It is just, that MANY (in this Forum), forget, that the Church (in this case, "Family History Centres"), is MUCH bigger than just that in "North America" ...
It is the same with 'FamilySearch' in general, it is just, that MANY (in this Forum), forget, that 'FamilySearch' (in particular, "Family Tree") is used by MANY Users/Patrons from ALL around the World, rather than just those in "North America" ...
They, are some things, that some "Moderators", need to keep in mind ...
[ I can certainly understand; and, not to expect such from the general 'lowly' User/Patron populous ... ]
Furthermore ...
'Yes', you are absolutely, totally, correct, that some of the 'Answers/'Comments', can be rather lacking in length with regard to, both, 'Content'; and, 'Context' ...
The case of 'Less is Best', DOES NOT necessary hold true, for 'Answers'/'Comments', in this Forum.
Of course, I ALWAYS go to the other EXTREME ... I am FAR too 'Verbose'; but, that is my 'style' ...
But ...
That Said ...
Many of the 'Answers'/'Comments' from "Moderators" are great, simple; straight forward; to the point; and, effective.
Whereas, there are some of the 'Answers'/'Comments' from "Moderators", that are far, too simple; do not even address the 'Question'; and, NOT effective at all - in fact, in some cases, better they be removed; as, an 'Answer'/'Comment'.
All your original 'Answer'/'Comment' need was, that was a known/reported matter as reported from "Family History Centres"; particularly, in "North America"; and, if known, possibly include the "Model" numbers of the effected "Lexmark" Printers concerned.
Again, please, NO need to apologise ...
Enough said.
Brett
ps: The MAIN "Lexmark" Printer, in our (local) "Family History Centre", NOT being able to "Scan" DIRECTLY to 'FamilySearch" (to the "Memories" of a particular individual/person), has been a 'pet peeve', for some time now (at least, a few Years).

Several years ago we had the same problem with our Lexmark printer not scanning to Familysearch. Calling Tech helped us get it going. So I suspect that perhaps you will need to do what we did several years ago to get it going again. It was something about the printer and which file it was to access to scan to familysearch.
That said, this new glitch with scanning to familysearch appears to not be fixed yet.

This was posted by Ken Richins - NAO Tech Support Lead to another question.
There are issues with synchronizing accounts and linking the data to the FamilySearch account securely and quickly. This is a case of signing into FamilySearch from a device and posting that data securely to the correct account on our private servers. Once we have properly secured our servers and then encoding the account information the Scan to FamilySearch function will be restored.
The old practice of using time stamps to verify is no longer a viable option and we need to use a more secure method that is compatible with the software on the Lexmark printers and our current VLAN in the current FHC networking system.
The biggest delay is the bug fixing of the new Portal taking more resources from the ics department.

Regarding, the "Printers", in "Family History Centres", of the Church, ALL around the World ...
We, NEED a LIST, of the ALL "Models", that will be updated/work, when the time comes.
[ ie. "Lexmark" Printers, that will (eventually, be able to) "Scan" to 'FamilySearch' ... ]
And, that is for ALL the Countries and Unions, around the World, NOT just for "North America"

Here is a workaround that may help. I did this routinely prior to being a director and discovering that one could scan directly to FS Memories from the scan bed of the Lexmark 611 and 622 printers. Pretty awesome and hope the situation is solved for all. This can be done from home, or at an FHC computer IF you bring the files to the center on a jump/thumb drive.
- From home. Scan or save photographs into a Picture folder, hopefully one labeled with a name you will remember. Open and log into FS. Choose "Memories" in the FS menu. Click on the green plus sign to add a pic or document. Navigate to the picture folder or to the jump drive, find the file, upload it and document the new item with persons, dates and location as you usually do.
- From the FHC: Take a jump drive to the center, to which you have saved the files to be uploaded. Insert it into the computer. Open and log into FS. Choose "Memories" in the FS menu. Click on the green plus sign to add a memory. Navigate to the picture folder on the jump drive, find the file, upload it and document the new item as above.
I think I remembered each step. If you need assistance saving to a jump drive or a picture file, perhaps a helper nearby can show you how.
