Digital Records
In 2019 I located & copied online records for my Fusaro Family located in Acri, Cosenza, Italy. I am now researching another family name also in Acri & the records are not available online. Any idea as to why?
Also, how do I find out when my local library will re-open. The location is Lynbrook, L.I., NY
Thanks for your time

Hi @mary gulluscio ,
We understand you're trying to view films from Acri, Cosenze, Italy. When we search for that location in our catalog, we see that there is one collection for civil registrations (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/516600?availability=Family%20History%20Library)
and that the camera icons do show a key over the camera. Clicking on the camera icon gives us the message that the films are viewable at Family History Centers and Affiliate Public Libraries. Viewing restrictions like this are determined by the copyright holder or records owner when publishing rights are negotiated by FamilySearch.
Many Family History centers are still closed due to pandemic conditions. Our Help Center contains an article ( https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/where-do-i-find-a-family-history-center ) on how to find nearby Family History Centers and Affiliate Public Libraries along with contact information so that you can call to find out if/when they will be open.
We need also to let you know that limited access collections and partner websites accessible through the Family History Center Portal are temporarily unavailable for critical maintenance and updates. This is explained in another Help Center article https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/public-access-to-limited-access-collections-in-family-history-centers?articleVariant=public.
We've not been told an exact date when the update will be completed and access restored for Family History Centers, but Affiliate Public Libraries are not affected by this closure, and you may want to consider visiting a nearby Affiliate Public Library using the above link about 'where do I find a family history center.'
We thank you for your patience and wish you much success with your research!
