Hello, I have just spoken with a wonderful person at the helpline who instructed me to post a note here. I am hoping to follow up on case number 08181555 regarding public access to the Records of the New England Company (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/531975). As requested, the Trustees of the New England Company in London sent an official letter and form in mid-May 2021. The Trustees own the records, but they are cared for by the staff of the London MetropoIitan Archives, who are also very happy to write supporting the records' release. I believe the Records are already digitized, we just need them to be accessible. Thank you for any help you can provide on the status of this request. I would appreciate a message if possible. Thank you.

As you know, most of the Records of the New England Company, 1659-1906 are available on microfilm at the Family History Library. There is one set of restricted records "Treasures' general accounts, ..." If the copyright releases have already been sent, then they would be in the possession of FamilySearch legal team and we have no way to find out the progress that they are making in getting the records released. We encourage you to check back frequently and hopefully they will be released in the future.
