Additional time to complete batches that have been checked out.

I recently checked out an indexing batch. The handwriting was quite difficult but I finally figured it out. I wasn't able to complete the batch in the time that I had that day. I wasn't able to get back to it before it expired and it was sent back. Now that difficult handwriting will have to be mulled over by someone else. Like many others, I only have one day in a week that I can set aside some time to work on indexing. Could you extend the time to work on a batch to two weeks? That would give people like me an opportunity to finish hard batches.
