Gross Amount Of Image Index Errors In Record https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JWM3-G99
I am working the 1863 Christening source for Sarah Armstrong, GM7Y-6KJ.
See the following record. England, Staffordshire, Church Records, 1538-1944 film # 007566651.
The image index on images 4-205 have indexing errors. They contain a mix of two different parish locations.
This record is for St Peters, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom. The image index for images 4-205 also contain people, events and dates from a different parish Alrewas, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom.
Please review and advise.

I am confused with your question. The Film number 00756661 in the FamilySearch catalog is restricted and must be viewed at a Family History Center or a Family History affiliate library. It is also available through FindMyPast website. I cannot look at the restricted film in the FamilySearch catalog but the Film Number 00756661 in FindMyPast is a register of Baptisms in the Parish Alrewas in the county of Stafford. So if you could tell us how you viewed the image, we could perhaps better help with the apparent discrepancy in the record titles.
The other discrepancy we notice in the record is that her birth is August 1843 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom and her Christening is 19 October 1963 in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England, United Kingdom. Is the record you are questioning the record of baptism for your Sarah Armstrong GM7Y-6KJ or another Sarah Armstrong?

I am viewing the source at an affiliate library.
I am working on Sarah Armstrong GM7Y-6KK, 1863 source.
The clerk/secretary recording her Christening added a note documenting her Aug 1943 birth.
The top of every page of this record is St Peter’s, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, NOT Alrewas, Staffordshire. Possibly an incorrect film number title is contributing to the mix of Wolverhampton and Alrewas details in the image index’s.
If you can get to an affiliate library (as the FHC’s are not currently showing restricted images) viewing this record would help to understand my error report.
If you can talk, call me at (678) 485-4398.
Thanks!
BTW- have you worked on Armstrong family research in Cumberland England, near the Scottish border? I am stuck on a family line in that area.

Images of 1863 Christening source for Sarah Armstrong (GM7Y-6KJ). Both Source image, and Image Index.
The mix of Alrewas and St. Peters, Wolverhampton Parish's is visible in the Image Index.
Hopefully this will validate my original post.
Thanks, David

We are glad that you have been able to see this source at an affiliated library. Yes, upon seeing the image and the indexed information we can see the errors for the location. We also see the date in the column next to Sarah. Since this collection has already been published we are forwarding this case to another department that could look at it do what they can. The other department has specific criteria of what can be done with this kind of confusion. There may also be some specific information from the owners of these records and that may also be the reason for the indexing. We follow the requirements from the record owners.
We suggest that you make appropriate notes on Sarah's person page in the collaboration section and in the birth area in the vital section regarding the date and location. Hopefully, you can find some other sources for Sarah that will help validate the christening information.
Hopefully this will help, and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

TY! I am satisfied with my findings. I feel badly for the other researchers that will have to wade through these confusing errors on over 200 images. Hopefully the other Dept can make corrections.
David
