Profile Picture
I can't seem to get my profile picture right. I have reduced the size and I still get only half of my face. Thank you for any help.

its not really a matter of file size that is the issue
It is probably that the image you are uploading is not a SQUARE image (where as the profile image will attempt to show a square image (inside a circle in some cases)
so if you upload am image that is rectangular - the system is forced to choose a square portion of the rectangle - and may chop of portions of your head.
do you have an image editor that you can use to crop the photo to be square in size?
if not - send me the image and I will crop it for you.

If you can't get your photo reduced to the correct size you might want to work with the photo on your computer - reducing the size there and then reloading it to FamilySearch. You might also experiment and try selecting another photo. The instructions in the applicable knowledge articles only explain how to use the slider bar and I understand that doesn't always produce the results desired.

It seems like it is some other problem besides size. I have loaded several copies of different sizes on my computer and tried them all. They all give me the half face.

Thank you. I believe you are probably right. I have cropped a larger picture - still within the 2 MB limit. Problem now is that it will not upload into my profile.
