We are so sorry that you are experiencing someone removing your Father from your Family Tree. One of the best options is as someone stated above - to send them a message. Another option is to use one of the third party partners to FamilySearch to put your information into a Tree that only you can change.
Follow the instructions below to contact someone who contributed to Family Tree. Remember as a world-wide Family Tree this person may think his information is correct and different from yours. Obviously your father is correct and should be kept. Make sure to find out why they keep deleting him.
Please view our Terms of Use for guidelines about collaborating with other users.
Steps (website)
- In Family Tree, display the contributor of the information:
- In Family Tree, from the ancestor's person page, in the Vitals or Other Information section, you see the words “Last Changed,” followed by the date of the most recent change and the contact name of the contributor who made it.
- Click the contributor’s contact name.
- Note: If the contact name is listed as “FamilySearch,” then the change was made by an automatic update or before FamilySearch kept track of each contributor’s changes.
- In the pop-up that appears, you see the user’s contact information, if the user made it public. You can use it to contact him or her.
- (Optional): See how you are related to the contributor:
- Enable Relationship Viewing: If you are not opted in to the service, click this link to opt in.
- View My Relationship: If you and the other person are opted in to this service, click it to see your relationship.
- Request to View Relationship: If the other user has not opted in, click to invite the other user to opt in so you can view your relationship.
- Note: You can opt out of this service in your FamilySearch contact settings .
- If the contributor did not provide contact information, send a private message through the FamilySearch messaging service instead:
- Click Send Message.
- Enter your subject and message. You must enter a subject in order for the message to send.
- Click Send.
Note: If someone is sending you unwanted messages, you can mute that person. His or her messages will no longer be visible after that. For instructions on how to do this, see the Related articles section below.

I am having the same problem. I think I am being "trolled". I will fill in a relative and someone will immediately delete and put "lacks proof" . This site used to be delightful, but now I have lots of orphans and it is no longer fun;( Wish I could lock my pedigree

You need to provide the ID number of your fathers record and if he is living of not. That will help to decide what needs to be done to evaluate what is going on. Communication with the other party is the only way to resolve the issue. You need to find out why they are removing.

@JoanWalling There is a Help Center article that should be helpful to you.
In the "Latest Changes" column mentioned in the article you should be able to see the name of the person who is making the changes. It is on the right side of the "Person " page about halfway down. Just click on the name of the person who made the change to see contact information. Communication really helps when there are disagreements about people and connections in a collaborative family tree.
And to address the problem mentioned by @TishKnopp you can explain that this is your father and they will know that you have personal knowledge of him and the relationship. "Reason statements" can be very important. Malicious changes or "Trolls" can also be reported to FamilySearch. See the article:

To the two OPs. I'm assuming that the persons you have entered are deceased? I run into many cases where people are adding people who were born in the 1930s and 1940s with nothing to indicate that they have actually passed and which in some cases I've spoken to the "deceased" person in the last several years.

Yes I see clearly who has been "deleting" relatives and I have contacted them. Right now there is a couple who claim they are a relative on my tree, who told me straight out that they were iliminating relatives who could not conclusively prove that they are related. Well, in some cases this might be difficult. Unless you are actually over in England looking directly at a baptismal record, you can only go what has been scanned and posted online.
All I can say is this site is the absolute BEST for the family tree stuff. I love it and have recommend it to everyone;) Sadly however there seems to be a group of folks right now who have taken it upon themselves to destroy people's family tree. I pay to be on Ancestory.com and MyHeritage.com, but they just don't have the quality of this site. I use these sites to cross reference all my discoveries. I can only get as much evidence as anyone else.
Right now I have decided to take a break from "finding ancestors" at familysearch. I suspect I am being trolled because every time I add a relative it is promptly deleted. I am hoping with my disappeance these"Trolls" will find something more productive to do with their time;(
