I just received notice that one of the photos I put in Memories is Restricted. However, I'm unable to find out which picture it is. I'm guessing its either a picture from my parents wedding as the only one I can think of is the "garter" showing my moms leg at the knee picture or my parents toasting with punch??( 1966 )

Help!

Look at the above mentioned photos in Memories. "Restricted" will be across the photo.

I'm having the same issue! I've been notified a photo is to be removed but can't access it.

@debralynnfarr1 , FamilySearch uses software to review each memory item that is uploaded to ensure that it complies with our  rules and guidelines .

When a memory item appears to violate the rules and guidelines, FamilySearch takes these actions:

    • Flags the item with a banner and the word "Restricted."
    • Creates a case, and sends you an email notification.
    • Retains the flagged memory item in your Memories gallery for 30 days.
    • Responding to the email notification is the quickest and easiest way to provide information regarding the restricted image for our team to review.
    • If you are unable to access that email notification and respond, please let us know.

    Hola debralynnfarr1

    Suerte.

    HI

When a photo is restricted you should have received an email stating so. You can find out which picture it is by replying to the email and asking.

    Hope this helps. Family Search

We sent a private message to Debralynnfarr1 with instructions to respond to the email that she received and she sent back the email and what happens when she tries to respond to the email. We told her we would sent her information to the correct team and that she would hear back from them.

The url in the e-mail on the third line -- https://familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/101108829 is a link to the photo that was restricted. Each e-mail will have a link to the photo that it is talking about. The photo is restricted, and only you can see it, but you must be logged to FamilySearch to see the photo. So login to familysearch.org, then follow the link in the email and you will see what is being restricted.

And if you disagree (mistakes happen), then reply to the email.

Beth Ann W You missed her point. Please try logging in and then clicking https://familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/101108829 and see what happens.

You are assuming that link takes her to the photo that is restricted, but that CLEARLY shows you never clicked it. Guess what. That link gives an error message. So can you please provide NEW guidance as to what the poster should do???

in most cases you can reply to the email notifying you of the restriction

and all you need are three words

    "RESTRICTED IN ERROR"

and 9 times out of 10 it will be unrestricted

(unless it actually does have something that is in violation of policy)
