The relation ship column for the children looks like it indicates their sex rather than the relationship. If we go by the code it would indicates a 7 year old spouse. What do we do?

    Hi YoungMichaelB1

We understand your concerns about error on the record produced by the register. Remember that the index will often be coupled with a digital image of the original document. When researchers use FamilySearch.org to find an ancestor, they can see the original document and draw conclusions about the people on the record.

The following article will help you to approach some type of error found on historical records.

We are glad and thankful for bringing up your concerns. You can index them and submit your batch once is completed. Your efforts of time, and diligence are much appreciated.

The completed index and links to digital images will be freely accessible online to the general public when the collection is published.

We are asked to type what we see and not make corrections to mistakes on the document.

The researcher will then get to puzzle it out.
