This county in Virginia has written in big # 1891 at top but in column of death says 1881. And ditto marks go all the way down the death column. Which

year should it be. I am reviewing this one. The person who originally did it put 1881.

Index the death year on the actual document. Not the date on at the top, which is on a separate piece of paper underneath the actual death register.
