After the text field, there is a Tags field. How can I add a new tag, e.g. Source Linker with the space?

    If you type the two words and end with a comma, it should accept it.

    I apologize for not asking a clear question. The question had 2 parts. The first was: How do I add new tags when asking a question? The second was: How do I insert a space in the name

    OK - I think I understand the question.

    When you ask a question, it offers you a choice of adding a tag.

    Just start typing the tag you want and it will offer suggestions. If you want to create a new one, type it in and finish it with a comma, and it will create it, including multi-word tags.

    I've found that if you are trying to add a tag and the system is not taking it, type the tag and then click outside the TAGGING field. This works.

    I could be wrong; and, I stand corrected, if I am.

    But ...

    That Said ...

    This is my take, on your 'Question'.

    As far as I am aware ...

    We CANNOT "Add" our OWN (Personal) 'Tag(s)'.

    We can ONLY use one of the PRESET (ie. existing) 'Tags'.

    Just my thoughts.

    Brett

    ps: I once tried adding my own 'Tags', which were NOT any of the PRESET ones; and, I could not get then to 'Stay'/'Stick' - I tried a few different scenarios.

    @Brett .

    In my first response to the question above, I created the tag Source Linker.

    I just created a new post and started typing "Source L" and got the following choices:

    So the tag that I created in June is still there. Naturally I can't find out whether it is there for other users, or just me. But you certainly can create and retain your own specific tags.

    As a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], you may have the ability to do such.

    [ Where such "Moderators" are NEW to the "Community'FamilySearch" Forum ... ]

    ie. Create a NEW 'Tag'.

    But ...

    That Said ...

    I have been working in the "Community'FamilySearch" Forum for a number of Years now, in both, the OLD; and, the NEW, Platforms of the Forum.

    And, since this NEW Platform commenced in Production, I have NEVER been able to add my own 'Tag'.

    But, then, I am just a 'lowly' User/Patron; and, that is despite the fact that, I am a Leader in a few 'Groups'.

    So ...

    That said ...

    Maybe the "Moderators" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ] have the ability to add NEW 'Tags'.

    But, as far as I can ascertain, the 'lowly' Users/Patrons DO NOT have the ability to add NEW 'Tags'.

    And, the poster ('Douglas') of this 'Question', is like me, just a 'lowly' User/Patron.

    Just my thoughts.

    @Mark McLemore

    It appears to me the above message was sent DM, but I can see it. I thought DM messages were FYEO, for your eyes only. Why can I see it.
