In indexing UK baptisms, 2 different surnames of the parents are listed, probably unmarried, which surname do I list for the child?

    Hello @BatesKevinPeter

If a surname is not listed for the child you should mark the field blank with CTRL B.

See the field help for the Child's Surname "If the surname was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Ctrl+B to mark this field blank."
