How do I report abuse, spam, inappropriate memories, and other content?
Article Id: 978, Published May 05, 2021Please report any abuse or inappropriate content that you encounter on FamilySearch. If someone is sending you unwanted messages, you can mute that person. After that, his or her messages to you will no longer be visible. See the information in Related articles for details.
What is considered abuse?
Abuse of FamilySearch also involves posting patriarchal blessings or ordinances of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in any of these places:
- Discussions
- Notes
- Memories
- Life Sketch
Errors in records, such as dates, names, relationships, and other items—though annoying—are not considered abuse. If you have questions regarding inadvertent or potentially malicious errors in records that you are unable to resolve, please contact FamilySearch Support .
Our core policy is defined in FamilySearch Rights and Use Information , found at the bottom of most pages on FamilySearch.
