great- great grandfather named John Clark that was suppose to be born in Owen, Kentucky. I can't find out any information on him. All I have seen on him is his name on my great grandmother's certificate of death as father. Her name is Charity Elizabeth Clark, married a Wood. Her mother is shown as unknown. This side of the family has been very hard to find out anything on, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

When I cannot find historical records for one person, I work on finding them for close relatives. I attach all records I find to the tree, examine all record images, and standardize all dates and place names. Often this breaks through the wall.

Your tree at this time shows John Clark had a 2nd wife. Their marriage record may name his first wife, mother of Charity Elizabeth Clark. Also try to find his 1880 census record.

Let us know how it goes.
