Why can't I see images of obituaries and census records?

It started a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't get the obituaries to load from a search. I was able to work around it by right clicking on the search page and bringing it up on a new page. But today I'm finding a message in place of census record thumbnails that the image isn't available and when I click on it that's the case. Any ideas?

Hi, sorry to hear that you are having problems with unavailable records and Collections. We seem to have been seeing a lot of this type of problem over the last few days. You might try waiting a couple of days and then try again. It may be helpful, then, to first clear any cookies that have collected on your browser from FamilySearch. To do so, please:

    1. Go to  https://familysearch.org/cookies .
    2. When the Reset your cookies? appears, click Yes.

If you continue to have problems after a couple of days, or so, you can leave a comment here, and let us know what Collection (or Catalog entry) you are having problems with. If you're having problems with a Collection, be sure to include where in the Collection you are looking.

Hopefully, it will clear up for you, on its own.

If you would provide the URLs where the links are shown, other users could test to see if they, too, have problems and/or suggest possible reasons or solutions.
