I noticed on the U S News today, that the 2020 Census are available. I indexed bunches of these years ago. I could not find the Census records to index. I would like to help index the latest U S Census records when they are available, please. Should I just be more patient? And, wait for FamilySearch to make announcement.

Sincerely,

dellairenem

The next census that will be available for indexing is the 1950 census. It will be released on April 1, 2022. A census cannot be released to the public for 72 years after the day that the census was taken. So, you have a little while longer to wait to index the 1950 census.

Here's a blog article about the 1950 census.
