How can I stop receiving notifications of ancestors who are not actually MY ancestors?

How can I stop receiving notifications of ancestors who are not actually MY ancestors? These people are ancestors of my great-grandmother's third husband. Her first husband was my great-grandfather. I have discovered where my grandmother is listed under this third husband as a step-child. I have contacted the person who included her on this third husband. The response I received was to the effect of "I am sorry you are getting these notifications. However I have attached stepchildren to families as they do appear in the stepparent's obituary." Is there any way to stop receiving notifications regarding persons who are not actually my ancestors? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Click on your name and there is a settings options, then select notifications and turn off any that you do not want to see.

    FYI

Regarding, turning "𝐎𝐟𝐟", the 'Notifications', in your "Setting" in 'FamilySearch' ...

Please be aware that, turning "𝐎𝐟𝐟", the 'Notifications', in your "Settings" in 'FamilySearch', for "𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬" being "𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴.", you turn off 𝐀𝐋𝐋 the 'Notifications', "Off", there is 𝐍𝐎 option to be selective; as, to particular Ancestors.

IF, you turn "Off", the 'Notifications', for "Discoveries about My Ancestors"; THEN, your 𝐍𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 get ANY 'Notifications' about 𝐀𝐍𝐘 Ancestors.

I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of such.
