Can I access copies of private messages I have sent to Community members?

When I click on the envelope icon at the top of the page I find its contents only include messages received. Do I have to save copies of messages I send to others elsewhere? I can find my Inbox, but there does not seem to be a section here for items sent.

(BTW - under the present "Community" structure I feel I should have raised this in the "Q and A" section, but there is no section there for queries on "Community")
