I keep getting this message on my screen after I choose a batch to index. "Maximum Batches Reached

Only 10 batches may be checked out at a time. Please go back and return at least one batch to check out a new one." I don't have any batches checked out.

Hi Elizabeth. That must be frustrating. Sometimes these strange problems are temporary system problems and will just go away in a few hours. But often the can be cured by cleaning up your browser’s Family Search temporary files, or all your browser’s cache and history, or even by changing Browsers for a while. Here is an article that should help with the FS-related cleanup. the title isn’t exactly your problem, but the remedies recommended possibly contain your solution. Try the steps indicated, and as a last resort, try changing to a different browser. Good luck.
