Collaborating with Family
I would like to collaborate with family members at least on deceased relatives. I saw this posting (https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/deceased-people-in-my-family-tree-private-space) but am still confused as to why an administrator has deemed that scant information I have on my grandfather is deemed to be able to harm myself. One of my deceased uncles with scant information is deemed to be not confidential. Do I need to take information of my grandfather out of the tree in order to make him not confidential? If so, what information?
Ideally I should be able to invite individuals into my tree and collaborate, but at least have some public information e.g. name and that a record exists public at all times.

For individuals born in certain countries, there is an automatic block in Family Tree that keeps them as private individuals due to political and religious concerns. If you need more information about this or if you feel that these blocks should not affect your grandfather you will need to contact FamilySearch support directly. If your Uncle is not blocked but under current policies should be, contacting support may get that block put in place.

I believe there may be some confusion, "Family Tree" is a program outside of "Family Search". The last sentence of the posting indicates that "Family Search" does not accept requests to mark individuals confidential. Family Search limits access to individuals such as famous people, because of the nature of Family Search being a open editing program, would not be prudent to allow access to these people. I hope this clarifies what the posting is referring to. In Family Search we can add any information we desire to share.
