No registrar date is listed, but a date IS listed on the SUB-registrar line. Do I index the SUB-registrar date or index as <BLANK>? (Instructions say "do not index sub-registrar" date, but can we assume that means if the registrar date is listed? Or does it mean to always ignore the sub-registrar date?

(Currently working on Wisconsin Death Records:)

gnat, You are correct, when given the choice, not to index the sub-registrar's date. Good job on reading the field help as closely as you have. In the Project Instructions, on the 3rd example, it shows the sub registrar date being used.

I think you are correct to use the sub-registrar's date in the absence of the registrar's.
