I messed up my Family Tree. How do I extend it to the left, past #1? I have codes for folks.
I need to have Stephan Engel (L26Y-W38) as the hus. of Anna Gottschling (L26Y-WMB) and sons Stephan Jr. ((L26Y-W2H) and John (LKD6-F7M). Stephan Jr. is marr. to Katherina Pelgar (Engel). Stephan 3, and Pelgar have a son Stephan b. 24 May 1899 in Austria (L26Y-4TC) who is mar. to Erma Michalis (Engel) b.1896/7 in New York.
I could not figure out how to EDIT files so write this involved course to take. Oh, Johann is mar. to Wilhelmina Adam (LKD6-FW3) with my dad, (LKD6-NZN). I am Dr. Adolph James Engel (nocode)

Jim, when you need to change relationships on your tree, the best thing to do is go to the help button(question mark in a circle)on the top right of the site. In the search block type in "correct parent/child relationships." It will give you step by step instructions on how to fix the relationships on your tree. There are directions for every scenario you have. It is not possible to just edit the relationships, you will need to change or delete them according to those directions and then replace them with the correct relationships.

A goof-up. Stephan 3 should be Stephan 2, Jr. and the last Stephan would be #3. Dr. Jim Engel

Hi Jim,
What do you mean by not extending to the left past #1? I've looked at the records you cite and made some minor changes, but it looks good to me. Please let me know if I can be of further help.
Sincerely,
Carol
