My 2X GG was born in Ireland in 1837. Her name was Margaret Ann Knox. She was not Catholic. A needle in a haystack, I know, but every time I see the Knox surname, I think, maybe?? I think she emigrated to Canada, possibly Nova Scotia in her teens, & wound up in Essex County, MA in 1855. She died of smallpox in Lynn, MA in 1860.

If Margaret Ann Knox isn't a Catholic maybe she is related to our SCOTT family as one of the girls in our 1832 family is named Jane Knox Scott. The gentleman that lived in Stone Hall was called Thomas Knox he married a woman by the name of Helen, in 1800 . Could these two be related to your Margaret by any chance. Because we both have none Catholic relatives, my family has Bairds, Carroll's and Scott's from the area around Stone Hall , Balina, Killala Curramore also. Sure would like to talk to you as I stated before my e-mail address is bowclue@xplornet.com Judy
