Where and when did the ancestor live? I would thoroughly research the individual in any locality you know where he lived. Also, more thoroughly research the children.

I have researched his children and can follow my line directly to Robert. He lived and died in Hull moving from Holy trinity church to Fish street chapel , which only commenced in 17 60. I have been unable to find Akester parents or a record of his birth and conclude that he was born elsewhere.

Most of this information I provided previously .I am trying to go back one generation but it would appear Robert got married in Holy Trinity Church Hull but was not born or baptised there. Furthermore the parish records for Hull seem very sketchy before about 1750. I have also tried to explore his occupation as a tailor but can find no records.

Akester is a sufficiently unusual locational name and seems very local to Hull, Pontefract, Beverley and one branch in Westmorland.
