A patron recently asked me if there was a place she could donate a box full of funeral programs and

She indicated that many of them were not her family and they were not in FS.

Id be happy to take on the project of scanning them and uploading to FS Memories - if no one else plans to do so.
I Have experience in placing thousands of items in FS Memories so they are preserved.
I would hate to see such items lost or destroyed.

This is my first question since joining the group and I am amazed at how fast and helpful it has been to find an answer to my question. Thank you so very much.
If you enter a memory of a funeral program for someone who is not now in FS how will someone know it is there? If you run a search on the name will it also pull up memory items that are not connected to an person?
I will contact her and tell her your answer and as soon as I get her answer I will let you know. Should she send the material by mail so it can get to you?

Here are some examples of Family BIbles that have been linked to people in FamilySearch

Each item (as is completed through its processing) is Linkeded to the people it represents.
thus when a users looks up a person in FamilyTree - they will see these memories items attached to each person.
we woudl love to do the same for the records that you have access to.

Dennis, I have tried again to contact her and she has not answered my calls. Right now, in Houston, Texas ,many people are without electricity and water for several days. South Texas has not experienced this kind of weather for nearly 100 years, we usually only have extreme heat and hurricanes, this is new to us. I will continue to try to get a reply from her but I'm not sure when that might be.
