Click on the entry prior to the place you wish to insert a new entry. Click on the icon to the left of the trashcan. It looks like a paper with a + sign next to it. Choose the option you want such as After Current Entry and Click the Add button. Now the next entry is blank ready for you to fill in the information! You can see that you can add multiple entries at the same time. Use this feature if the entries are altogether. I find this feature very helpful. Hope you do, as well! 😀

Hi Phoebe. Consider joining the Indexing Chat Group - it’s a great forum for getting answers to any kind of indexing question. As for your question today, use the “Add Entries” +sign icon next to the trashcan icon in the middle of the horizontal toolbar. There are options to insert one or more new Entries (a) before the first Entry, (b) after the currently selected one, or (c) after the last one.
BTW, the trashcan icon next to the “Add Entries” icon lets you delete Entries one at a time, but also includes an “all blank entries” option. That very useful and powerful option (remember it!) is for when you’ve finished Indexing all the records in your whole batch and have extras left over. I say it this way because that “all blank entries” option does work on all entries in all the images in your batch, for when you have more than the one image in your batch. So you’d use the trashcan when you’re finished with indexing all the images. If you use the trashcan too soon with that “all blank entries” option, you’ll wind up needing to add Entries. Good luck.
