I’ve often wondered the same thing. There should at least be some way for the system to mark the search results in some way to show that we have viewed it or attached it. However I do think it should be ommited from search results because I think sometimes some of us miss little bits of helpful info in some of the records, or others that haven’t been added to your tree are attached to the record... sometimes we dismiss info we see but then at some point later, we have more info and realize the record is very relevant.

@Tami Mae Spjut
.
FYI
.
Question:
Have you, either, ALREADY "Attached"; or, "Dismissed", the "Hint(s)" previously?
.
IF, you have, either, ALREADY "Attached"; or, "Dismissed", the "Hint(s)" previously; THEN, those NEW "Hints" would (generally) NOT be the EXACT Same "Hint".
.
But ...
That said ...
.
IF, the "Vital" Details, of the individual/person, have been subsequently "Changed" (including, through, a "Merge"/"Combine"); THEN, there is the possibility that a "Hint" that was previously "Dismissed" may reappear - and, rightly so; as, "Vital" Details have "Changed".
.
Furthermore ...
.
Question:
Are you certain that the "Hint" is an EXACT "Duplicate'?
.
There are OFTEN, in fact, MORE often than not, additional "Indexings" of the SAME Record.
.
Those additional "Indexings" of the SAME Record, are NOT, EXACT "Duplicates".
.
Those additional "Indexing" of the SAME Record MAY (often do) contain ADDITIONAL information/detail that was NOT "Indexed" in one of the OTHER "Indexings".
.
Those additional "Indexing" of the SAME Record may ALSO be "Indexings" from another Website (eg. "Ancestry_com"; "FindMyPast_co_uk"; "MyHertiage_com"; "FindAGrave_com"; etc).
.
Please, DO NOT, be discouraged by "Additional" versions of SIMILAR "Hints" (ie. "Sources")
.
SIMPLY "Attach" ANY "Additional" versions of SIMILAR "Hints" (ie. "Sources"), as well.
.
The MORE "Sources" attached to an individual/person, the merrier ...
.
Just MORE 'Flesh and Bones', so to speak, as EVIDENCE, to prove, that the individual/person REALLY did existed.
.
Just my thoughts.

Thank you Brett good to hear from you I’m hoping this is my nephew Brett Spjut I have been splitting my screen I will pay attention to the indexer and the websites that they’re coming from if it’s a match match just put ignore? I just have been attaching most sources I’m finding that other family mentioned have not been attached yet thanks again Tami

Many Index type sources may look similar and even have been given the same title, but normally they are not the same source. If you look for the key number of the source in its URL (it will look sort of like a PID number), they should be different indicating that although they look alike, they are different sources.
It is good to attach all of these that may relate to a person record. Otherwise, the hints engine can get confused.
