I have two accounts in Family Search. How can I merge them

Hello, Good question.

We can't really merge two accounts. And eventually you will not be able to sign into both accounts. I would pick the account that you have the most information on, the most ancestors, sources, memories, and save that one. You will want to save the one that has most of your personal information in Settings. We cannot restore a deleted account.

If you need to delete a FamilySearch Account, the quickest way is from your account settings page. Unfortunately, we cannot merge duplicate accounts or recover deleted accounts. Pick the one that has the least information on because it will be gone.

Steps

1. Make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
2. Click your name in the top right corner of the window and select Settings
3. Select the Account tab and scroll to the bottom.
4. Click Delete Account.
5. A new window will appear, asking you to verify that you want to permanently delete your account. Click Continue.
6. Enter your username and password and sign in again to verify your identity.
7. Click the red Delete Account button.
8. Your account is deleted.

If you have forgotten your username and/or password on either account you can recover a username or reset a password for your account using whichever option is directly linked to your account.

• Your email address

Be aware that if a LDS member account is deleted, all LDS information will also be deleted. And converting a non-member account to a member account, to replace the deleted member account, will not restore the deleted reserved names

I was curious about this too. I have multiple accounts under the same email - I actually thought I deleted the previous ones, but turns out they didn't delete - I can still login using old IDs.
