Check accuracy of records for places with similar names.
I have extracted and organized (as sortable Excel files), most of the Leicestershire Norman family records 1500-1800 in order that I may gain an overview of relationships and migrations within the county. One group which stand out and raise concern is the rare occurrences of the name "Roger Norman", which exist (with consecutive dates) in Familysearch transcribed records in 2 locations named "Ashby" which are 20 miles apart. I do wonder if the original note-taker made wrong assumptions having read the placename "Ashby". The placenames concerned are "Ashby Parva" and "Ashby de la Zouch". (There is also Ashby Magna and Ashby Folville within Leicestershire). Is Familysearch able to access photographic copies of the original PR's to check the accuracy of these entries? I have no such access.

Looking at results from searches on the website, I see what you mean. See https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?q.givenName=roger&q.surname=norman&f.collectionId=2840172&m.defaultFacets=on&m.queryRequireDefault=on&m.facetNestCollectionInCategory=on&count=20&offset=0. The results shows on the page include those for individuals named Roger Norman at both Ashby Parva and Ashby de la Zouch parishes. As you suggest, these are 25 miles apart, so either there were likely to be (coincidentally) two families involved OR the events have been wrongly connected to one of the two parishes.
FamilySearch does have digitised films available that would confirm the position, but (at least for me as a person who is not a member of the LDS Church) they are only available to view at a FamilySearch Family History Centre or an "Affiliate" Library. Many of these are currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, of course.
I checked the FreeREG website and there is only one record for an "Ashby", Leicestershire there: a 1618 Edward Norman marriage at Ashby Parva.
For Ashby Parva, check out the FamilySearch Catalog page at https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=15685&query=+place:"England, Leicestershire, Ashby-Parva"&subjectsOpen=412007-50. To see what films FamilySearch has for the other "Ashby" parishes, type the exact place names at the main Catalog search page for results.
Also, you could try Find My Past or Ancestry - FMP only needs a registration (no fee) if you do not have a subscription, to enable you to check their indexes.
