A van Helsdingen said: You can request a film be digitized by emailing Support and stating the film name and title.

FS then seeks permission from the record custodian(s) to digitise the film. If they agree, FS can digitize. Pre-COVID-19, this process took about a month, I expect it would take longer now.

The record custodian does not have to give permission to digitise, or they may negotiate restrictions on viewing the digitized film such as having to be at a Family History Center, at an Affiliate Library, or a Latter Day Saint.
