JimGreene said: If you have shared them with the temple the icon should be blue not green. It is only green if someone shared it with the temple. If that is not the case please include a screen shot and as much information as you can about your computer, OS, Browser, etc.
Thank you!
P.S. there has been a lot of discussion on this topic already, and the engineers are aware of the issue.0 -
Jeff Wiseman said: Jim, this is slightly different from all the other discussions on icon color. And this is definitely an issue. Here is my recommended Temple Tasks list from my landing page. ALL of these names I have previously shared with the temple and in my temple shared list that are all Blue. Anyone else should see these as green icons from their accounts. But in the Recommended Tasks list in my account, they show up green. Was that really intended?
Here's from my shared to Temple list:

JimGreene said: No, that was not intended. Good catch I am forwarding this on.0

Jeff Wiseman said: Jane found it :-) I don't use that list at all so I would have missed it completely.0

Jeff Wiseman said: BTW Jim, I'm not sure that this is exactly wrong, so much as it is unanticipated. It is all dependent on what the "Recommended tasks" list is supposed to contain. If it was intended to include ordinances that should be taken to the temple, then it is functioning correctly. But if it was supposed to recommended research type tasks, then the ordinance tasks should not be included.
So the list might need to be named as "Recommended XXXXX Tasks" where XXXXX is the TYPE of tasks in the list.
E.g., If I go into Ordinances Ready which gives me lists of specific ordinances to be done, those persons ordinances all show up to me as green, which is completely correct in that context. But "Recommended Tasks" is now another ambiguous term now. Define the term and that'll define the expected behavior.
This issue seems to arise out of the fact that the meaning of the list is vague at present.0 -
JimGreene said: Nope, it is wrong and will be fixed We have asked that team to change them to blue if they are on the list of the person who shared them. And if they only show green then to take these off.0

Jeff Wiseman said: That sounds good as a blue icon is frequently indicative that an ordinance that I shared could be retrieved and printed. That is appropriate for a "Recommended Tasks" list.
However, if those ordinances that I've shared with the temple (blue icons) have been printed by the temple, or reserved by someone else, they should definitely NOT be showing up on my recommended tasks list since there is nothing that I can do with them at that time.0 -

Roger C. Nilsson said: I am in agreement with the above comments on the green indicator. I also have green icons showing up on my "Recommended Tasks" list when they should not be.
However, I suggest another color shade be used, instead of green, when an ordinance is available to do but has been previously reserved by someone else or has been sent to the temple. Green next to a name on the family tree or individual details page indicates to me that ordinances are ready to be done and have not been reserved at all. It is only after clicking through several screens that I discover otherwise which takes time.
Even so, if the change relieves the back log and furthers the temple work than I strongly support it and am happy to spend the extra time.
Thanks for all that you do.0 -
Steven Green said: Thank you for reporting this issue! We resolved the issue this morning at about 7:10am MDT. There was a bug that caused users that shared the ordinances to see the green temples on their recommended tasks list. That has been fixed, so now the user that shared the ordinances will not see the green temple on the recommended tasks (unless there are other ordinances that are available to be reserved and haven't yet been shared) and other users will.
Would you kindly report back that the ordinances you've shared are no longer showing in the recommended tasks? You may need to clear cache for the list to update.
Note: It will not show with a blue icon on the home page recommended tasks list, it will be removed from the list. The temple recommended tasks are designed for ordinances that can be reserved (green temples) or need some action taken in order to make them reservable (orange temples).
With changing the icon color for the shared ordinances so they are distinct from the non-shared ordinances, it sounds like that has been discussed in another thread and is being considered.0 -

This other recent topic seems to be the same issue but I'm not quite sure. You should probably have a look at it:

Steven Green said: I responded there. It sounds more like a concern with business requirements rather than a bug (at least from how I'm understanding it).0

Jeff Wiseman said: It could be. Ill watch that topic. I think that this one is complete now0
