Jonathan DeMai said: I uploaded a unique 1882 map of Louisburg, North Carolina (in the public domain) that has the names of the property owners on it. FamilySearch allows me to tag 30 people in it, but there are more than 30 people listed on the landowner map. It would be phenomenal if we could get that 30 person limit restriction lifted/raised and tag all of these people. It would be quite valuable to researchers. Thanks!

How do I tag memories of my ancestors or relatives in Family Tree? (53970)
    states
No limit exists to the number of tags for a given photo or document.
However, when tagging photos, each tag needs to start in its own separate space. The system does not allow you to put a new tag on top of an existing one.
If a photo has a full-screen tag, you will need to shrink it in order to add additional tags.

Beth Ann Wiseman said: You should be able to tag more than 30 people in a memory, using the FamilySearch website. The iOS Memories App may have an issue.

Here is an example with over 300 tags:

Are you using the mobile app or the website to tag the image?

I believe the iOS Memories App may limit the number of tags you add at one time (sync), but the total number of tags should not be limited at this time.

If you can give me steps to reproduce not being able to add more than 30 tags, I will report the issue to the engineering team.

One went as far as to tag every grave in one cemetery, what a nightmare. I had to remove the links other put in for that cemetery in order to reach the end of the list of tags to remove a bad tag.
