1. Fan chart display by Country is a somewhat random distinction.
Land mass: There are large countries and small countries.
Population: There are large countries and small countries.

Please consider smaller fan map boundaries for the largest countries.
It could be regions.
It could be states.
It could be counties.
2. Families often feel linked to a region, not just a country.
My mother feels linked to Scotland, not just to the UK.
Scotland has 5.5 million people.
My father feels linked to Pennsylvania, not just the USA.
Pennsylvania has 12.8 million people.
I feel linked to Rhineland-Palatinate, not just to Germany.
Rhineland-Palatinate has 4.1 million people.
My wife feels linked to Norway, 5.4 million people.

Jordi Kloosterboer said: Yeah that would be cool. Maybe for each country a 'region' would be different depending on the country. Like it could be states in the USA, Counties in the UK, and provinces in the Netherlands.
