What does "+ Kaeskerke, vonnis 11 aug 1924, + voor Belgie" mean on a death record?

Is it possible to have a link to the document, or the full sentences? Kaaskerke is a place in Belgium. Vonnis means verdict. This would only make sense to me if he was put to death for some kind of reason, but the full document might give a beter insight!

I might add that Kaeskerke is an alternative spelling for Kaaskerke. 'ae' often appears in Flemish words where 'aa' would appear in Dutch (Nederlands). It's actually a relic spelling to indicate the long vowel. So, do not worry about the spelling here.

From what I read I think that Auguste Puype died fighting for Belgium at Caeskerke on 2 Sep 1917 . On 11 Aug 1924 the court in Brugge wrote to Waardamme to register the death. Waardamme entered it in the margin, with a note that the death was entered in the records for Waardamme in 1925, page 21, entry 1. I suggest you find the entry in 1925, if you haven't got that one yet.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am able to "read" names, dates and places but anything more than that and I am lost. So again thank you for your help with this record.

Off to the right in the list of links is a link to recorded webinars on how to learn to read old German script. Three hours of free instruction. Even though you are working with Dutch documents, these videos will teach you the old script (German and Dutch script are very similar), and strategies on how to read old documents. You will learn a lot from these classes that will help you with your Dutch research.
I hope this helps.

Kaeskerke is a place in West-Flanders, modern spelling Kaaskerke. It is one of the batllefields of ww1 and ww2 were so many people lost thier lives. Many soldiers went missing, they never returned or were found.
Some years after ww1 and when they stayed missing they were on behalf of the state, or their family brought to court, to be recognised as deseased.
'Vonnis'= court order, and +"voor Belgie' means died for Belgium.
