LegacyUser - You can add the information in the "Other Information" section.

    • Pick "Add Information" and you will get a drop-down menu.
    • Choose "Custom Event".
    • Title it something simple, like "Burial".
    • Then, in the next line, "Description of Custom Event", type in the information about the Neptune Society, the location, source for the data, whatever is appropriate. You can enter as much info as you like because the entry will expand to accommodate it. This is a good way to add more complex data and to keep information in front of viewers' eyes.
    • Then, as Brett has written, standardize the date. If you entered location info in the "Description" line, you can leave the "Place of Custom Event" blank.

    @James Sievert

    James

    .

    IF, you are referring to a BURIAL, "at Sea";

THEN, there are any number of ways, the choice is yours ...

    .

    Just a few examples ...

    .

    Date: dd MMMM YYYY

    variations ...

▬ ... at Sea, dd MMMM YYYY

▬ ... Drowned/Lost at Sea, dd MMMM YYYY

▬ ... Went Down with Ship/Yacht, dd MMMM YYYY

    .

    Place: at Sea, (Wherever)

    That wherever can be ...

    variations ...

▬ at Sea, Longitude and Latitude

▬ at Sea, of the Coast of (Wherever)

    ▬ at Sea, Atlantic/North Atlantic/Indian Ocean/etc

▬ at Sea, on route between, THIS; and, THAT

    plus ... Drownings

    Similar to the above ...

    variation

    ▬ Off, 'Such & Such' Beach/Pier/Whatever (wherever)

    plus ... regarding Cremations

▬ Ashes "Scattered", at Sea, ... (wherever)

    .

The "Choice" and "Variations" are endless ...

[ there is NO 'hard and fast rule' ... ]

    .

The IMPORTANT thing to remember is that you make sure that you "Standardise", both, the 'Date" and 'Place", against a standard.

    .

There is a "Standard" for, "at Sea".

    .

You just enter/put in WHATERVER you want it to appear; and, then, just "Standardise" that, with (for example) simply "at Sea"; or, whatever suits.

    .

As I said ... the, "Choice"; and, "Variations", are endless ...

    [ Just REMEMBER to ... "Standardise" ... ]

    .

    I hope this helps.

    .

    Brett

    .

ps: IF, I am, 'way of base'; THEN, let me know ...

    .
