If there is no image on an indexed record, can I still see the image somewhere?
So I am looking for an ancestor in France, and I have found multiple potential match individuals. Usually, I can find other details than those indexed by seeing the actual image of the document. But for the French records I'm reviewing have no image with them. If the information was indexed though, there surely must be an image somewhere. Does anybody know how I could access that image? Is it on a microfilm somewhere that I could order or request it?

It is possible, if they are "French" records ...
Then, the "Images", of them, may be available on, the "French" Website "Filae" ...
But, that said, you may need to "Subscribe" (ie. Pay) to that website ...
Of course, they may be on, "Ancestry_com"; or, "MyHeritage_com; or, the like ...

One the records with which I am familiar, which have been indexed by FamilySearch the indexed record usually has details about the source of the record, click Document Information, and how they are viewable
