Have you tried sending a message via the Ancestry messages
Click on their name then there is a box says MESSAGE top right
Most people respond but some do not
Other option is to google their name they may be on a social media forum
Check the shared matches they may have other family members that have done the test & connect with you

Yes can be hit or miss with the messages there

yes - messaging can be hit or miss.
In some (but certainly not all ) cases that may be that they DONT wnat to be contacted.
but in a very large number of cases it is simply that they havent accessed their account recently.
I also think if you look - you may find an INstagram account for that name (and maybe Facebook)
but just like in Familysearch - there is no guarentee of response.

If the cousin is in the U.S. you can search them using FastPeopleSearch.com. It's free with basic info for phone numbers and addresses. It's better than white pages. I often call people and ask if they are the correct ones and I have pretty good luck.
I would also try FB. I have found several distant cousins that way.
