Could you give me a little more information. Do you have her FamilySearch PID so I can look at her record. Need a time frame and location, also who she married if you happen to have a name.

My father's sister name was Nellie Davis. She was born in Galena,Illiinios in 1875. She moved to Dodgeville,Wisconsin with her father Henry A Davis and her mother Bell (Jenny) (Hocking), Davis. They moved again to Montfort,Wisconsin
After her mother passed away, and her father remarried to Mary Davis. She decided that she wanted to go live with her great-grandmother Sarah Prideaux. This all the information I have on her.

Hi Melvin, I am still working on this. What is your father's name and birth date/location. I did find a Henry A. Davis married to Jennie Hocking in 1871 in Iowa, but haven't located a daughter named Ellen.

My fathers name is George Dewey Davis. He was born on May 22 1897 and died Juy 20 1943.

Hi Melvin, Thank you for your quick response. I am still working on Nellie. Did your father know if Nellie also moved to Wisconsin? I've only found her in the 1880 census in Illinois. I did find a Sarah Prideaux married to William Henry Hocking Oct 1849 in Iowa, Wisconsin. This obviously is not Nellie's GGgrandmother, but I'm sure there is a connection. I think we should be looking at Wisconsin marriages for Nellie. What do you think?

Her mothers, mother died before she went too live in Dodgeville.in about 1887. So the only grandmother she would have had was her was her Great-grandmother. I don't know where she could have gotten married
