Information from 1860 Slave Schedules
Hi! On this record from the 1860 slave schedules in Walton County, Georgia:see this link: Ancestry.com - 1860 U.S. Federal Census - Slave Schedules
George Malcom is the slave owner.
This seems to match with this 1870 census record (Ancestry.com - 1870 United States Federal Census) that shows George Malcom and what appears to be this formerly enslaved family listed below:![Sallie Malcom](https://us.v-cdn.net/6032564/uploads/attachments/0684V00000618igQAA_Sallie Malcom.png)
I'm thinking that these individuals match (from the 1860 to 1870):
35 yr. old female - S Malcom (other records indicate her name is Sallie)
10 yr. old male - Charles Malcom
8 yr. old female - Tamah Malcom
6 yr. old male - Frank Malcom
I'm assuming that the 32 yr. old male is Sallie's husband (would he be called "Mr. Malcom"?) and that the 17 and 15 yr. old females and 12 yr. old male are other children of this couple.
Would you agree with me?
I'm totally new to Black research (I've only really researched in England, Scandanavia, and Germany).
Thanks!

one would assume that these are most likely the same people. it's impossible to say for sure without some sort of concrete evidence/proof... if it were me personally, I would go ahead and say yes I think these are same people, and I would add a note for each explaining why (for other researchers and for yourself when you look at it at a later date and say "why did I do that?" lol)

Okay, thanks! I figured that this was them, but, like I said, I'm completely new to Black research. Thanks for your help!
