On the 26 Nov 1817 died and was buried on the 30 Nov 1817:
The Pastor Nicolaus Mackeprang, born in this place on the 31 July 1743,
son of the deceased treasurer (Kaemmerer) Jacob Mackeprang, residing in Gammendorf. He was married twice, the first time to Susanna Elisabeth nee Lindeloff, married Oct 1785, she died in 1788 without having any children
Second wife: Anna Christina nee Kuelsen, married 15 Dec 1796. From this marriage the following children are alive:
a. Catharina Gertrud Margaretha born 27 Sep 1799
b. Susanna Christina Elisabeth, born 25 Dec 1803
c. Marcus Georg Nicolaus born 28 June 1805
An older son Jacob Joachim Friedrich was born 5 Nov 1797 and is drowned while swimming when he was attending the Latin School in Kiel.
Mister Pastor Mackelprang was about 10 years and 4 month in Burg as a Diaconus, on Dom Sexag. 1782he became a Diaconus here in which position he functioned 12 years and some month. In the year 1795 the position as a local Pastor became available and he was put in as a local Pastor on the 9th Trin in 1795. In this last position he served for 22 years and 4 month. He served a total as a preacher 45 years.
He was 74 years, 4 month, minus 4 days old. The Church Bells were ringing and the organ was played and songs were sang and he was buried on Sunday afternoon inside the church, next to the confession box, after I read the burial sermon in front of the Altar.
Happy New Year! Marion
