'Thank You' for asking ...

Do not panic ...
It can be addressed/fixed ...
.
When yo say you have "... put someone on the wrong side of my family tree ...", do you mean, on you Paternal (Father's) side, instead of your Maternal (Mother's) side; or, 'vice versa'?
.
No matter where you have put someone, you do not need to "Delete" them altogether from 'Family Tree", you just need to "Move" then.
.
And, depending on where you have put them ...
.
You can "Detach" (ie. "Remove" or "Replace") the 'wayward' individual/person, it just depends on whether it is; as, a "Child" (ie. "Parent-Child" Relationship); or, part of a "Couple" (ie. "Couple" Relationship)
.
For starters, here are a couple of "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch'
.
A person in Family Tree has the wrong spouse

.
How do I correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree?

I hope this helps.

IF, you need further help/assistance; THEN, please do not hesitate to ask.
