    @EdwardPeterson2 EdwardPeterson2​ DNA testing could do the trick, possibly. Have you been able to research back the ancestor your family claims to tie to the Shawnee tribe?

    My husband's Shawnee line was adopted into the Cherokee Nation. We found them listed on the Dawes Rolls, which listed them as being Shawnee. Maybe you can research different Native American rolls to see if you can find them there?
