Franciska Plass is having children in 1826, 1849 (Twins), and 1852. No father is shown in the record.
My question is: “Would the church records not show a father if it did not recognize a “marriage” for the mother?”

Here is a blog on illegitimate children: http://czechgenealogy.nase-koreny.cz/2013/04/illegitimate-children.html#more. Usually they don't show the father's name. It might be mentioned if the marriage was legitimized.

· In 1871 she married the father of her first child. (Last marriage of page) http://www.portafontium.eu/iipimage/30071583/krsy-41_0070-o
