How do you find other living family members and work with them on our family trees?
I have a distant relative that would like to work with me, however I cannot locate him on FamilySearch or see his tree. I cannot even find my siblings – since we are all alive.

FamilySearch is mainly designed to work with the record of DECEASED people.
For privacy and security reasons you cannot look up living persons in FS FT.
so if you are working with someone else - share with them the ID of your most recent deceased ancestor(s) and have them do the like - and then you will be able to navigate the deceased people in their tree and them your tree - by initially finding that record by using the ID - on this screen:

Thank you: working with the closest deceased relative. I was trying to figure out how we can work together.

also note - in theory - you can work collaboratively with any of the millions of users of FS
you dont need to do anything special to allow for that.
we all share one massive single database
