I have a family tree of many generations and recently started a new one because I have lots of names but not sure where they connect to the other tree. How do I connect them?

Just seems a little strange you are doing all this work - and you yourself dont know how they are connected. where did the records come from?

I wasn't too smart is the answer. I saw on Family Search that I was related to these people but started working from myself backwards Now that I have a fairly large group of these other names, I would like to connect them but not sure where I am related. I'v tried a search in my main tree but the new names don't show up.

You could use (BYU) "RelativeFinder" to see IF two "Deceased" individuals/persons are connected/linked in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

That may help you connect/link the "Branches" ...

There a number of other useful 'Bells and Whistles' in (BYU) "RelativeFinder".

(BYU) "RelativeFinder" is a FREE "Third Party" Application that is "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

You just sign in with your 'FamilySearch" credentials ...
